podcast series

In the Summer of 2011, while working at the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at NYU, I began working on what would become Rimasun, a Quechua-language podcast series. Still going strong in 2013, Rimasun is a collaborative effort to explore issues of interest and relevancy to the international Quechua-speaking community – in Quechua / Kichwa. Learn more about the program on the CLACS website, and listen for free on the CLACS blog or on iTunes. Interested in participating? Email quechua [dot] nyu [at] gmail [dot] com

publication

Two photographs of mine have been included in the May/June issue of the magazine published by the North American Congress on Latin America (NACLA). The issue, Empire's Apprentice, looks at Canada's involvement in the region with a skeptical eye. The images I contributed show Chilean discontent with Canadian mining company Barrick Gold. A few of the photographs from this series appear in the portfolio section of this site. You may view more on Flickr, and read more about the situation on Alucinora.

publication

An excerpt of a series of my photographs has been published in Anamesa, an interdisciplinary journal focusing on the work of graduate students in New York City. The series explores the use of photography in burial niches in cemeteries in Calca, Cusco, Urcos and Lima, Peru. A selection of the series is included in my online portfolio. You may learn about the journal and view the issue as a PDF by visiting Anamesa's website.
